Why become a member of the Audio Description Association?
The Audio Description Association is the definitive membership body related to Audio Description in the UK. It is a charity made up of an executive committee with a wealth of skills and experience, spanning decades, who volunteer their time to improve standards, provide services and bring people within the AD community closer together. Membership gives the opportunity to gain access to invaluable resources within the members' area of our website. Including a quarterly newsletter, monthly bulletin and regular online interactive zoom sessions which explore various topics, skills and learning. Plus the chance to network and connect with other members and an online directory for professional describers to be included in. Membership for Blind/visually impaired is just £10 and for other individuals £20 a year.
Why become a corporate member?
The Audio Description Association is here for venues, organisations and broadcasters, to help and support with expanding access for audiences, information on training, connecting people and providing useful contacts and technical advice. There is also the opportunity to collaborate on projects around audio description such as our AD Screen Training Course, which will improve services and bring about change.
We are on hand to offer help and advice to assist in problem solving and improving standards in AD globally.
